The Person and Family Advisory Council
The Office of Members and Family Affairs (OMFA) serves as a voice for Members and families, ensures that they receive and understand information about their health plan, and provides advocacy. In a rapidly changing health care environment, the OMFA is an important resource for Members and families. As a voice for Members and families, the OMFA helps remind the system that client-centered care:
- Improves the client’s ability to successfully cope with challenges
- Facilitates recovery from mental health and substance use disorders (SUD)
- Builds resilience
- Promotes wellness and whole health
The Person and Family Advisory Council (herein referred to as PFAC) is governed by a member or family member Chair, and supported by the OMFA. It ensures that Members and families have a voice within the management, administration and delivery of behavioral health services to Foothills Behavioral Health Partners (FBHP) members.
